The Yellow Wallpaper
This film "expands and explores Charlotte Perkins Gilman's dark, gothic universe from the original story." It was directed by Logan Thomas, starring Juliet Landau as the protagonist. According to the official facebook page of the movie, the film will be released by Halloween, this year.

The Fall of the House of Usher
Released in 1960, the film was directed by Roger Corman, starring Vincent Price as Roderick Usher, Mark Damon as the protagonist (in the movie he was called Philip Winthrop), and Myrna Fahey as Madeline Usher.

The Turn of the Screw (1999)
Directed by Ben Bolt, the film starred Colin Firth as the master, and Jodhi May as the governess.

The Bell Jar (2012)
The protagonist, Esther Greenwood will be played by Julia Stiles.

One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest (1975)
Directed by Milos Forman, the movie stars Jack Nicholson as McMurphy, Will Sampson as Chief Bromden, and Danny DeVito as Martini.

Girl, Interrupted (1999)
Directed by James Mangold, the film stars so great actresses as Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Brittany Murphy, and Whoopi Goldberg. One of the small roles is played by Jared Leto. (I, personally, liked the movie more than the book.)

Wide Sargasso Sea (1993)
The movie was directed by John Duigan, starring Karina Lombard as Antoinette Cosway, and Nathaniel Parker as Edward Rochester.


I Never Promised You a Rose Garden (1977)
The film was directed by Anthony Page, and it starred Kathleen Quinlan as Deborah and Bibi Andersson as Dr. Fried.
